SMART Certified Professional Development Courses – Coming to a City Near You!
Advanced Education is pleased to announce its Fall 2010 Professional Development Series in selected cities across Ontario, where we will deliver our popular Intermediate Level Course SMART board course.
Location and Event Dates:
Advanced Education Consultants, who are former teachers and SMART Certified trainers, lead full-day classes that combine instruction with hands-on learning. Throughout the day, participants are given time to experiment with the tools and features of the SMART board and SMART Notebook software while developing strategies for integrating SMART technology into curriculum delivery.
Course Description: 
The Intermediate SMART Board™ Course builds on the content introduced during the Fundamental course. SMART™ Notebook tools and features that encourage interactivity while supporting differentiated instruction are introduced with real classroom examples. Hands-on time allows participants to modify existing SMART™ activities as well as strategies for using the SMART Board™ with MS Office applications.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Create engaging SMART Board™ lessons and activities
- Create student centred activities using the locking and grouping features
- Improve lesson flow and time on task with the linking features
- Use the table tool and display features as teaching and learning tools
- Bring existing Word, Excel and Power Point files to life with Ink Aware Tools

- $295.00 + taxes per person (All major credit cards are accepted)
- Discounts for 5 or more attendees.
Class sizes are limited to twenty (20) participants. With a maximum of 7 SMART Boards in the classroom, this course will offer a SMART Board ratio of 3:1. Computers will be provided and the workshop will alternate between instructional and hands-on. Attendees are welcome to bring their own laptop to make notes if they have one. Computers are also provided on a 3:1 ratio.
