Harness the power of your SMART Board interactive whiteboard with professional development from Advanced. Whether a novice or a seasoned veteran, our SMART certified teachers help educators make effective use of technology to:
- Engage students with exciting multimedia that focuses the attention of the entire class
- Save on preparation time by creating and delivering the lesson plan directly from the computer
- Improve students’ performance by accessing a range of learning templates created by teachers based on standard curriculum.
Experienced educators, who hold degrees from Ontario Faculties of Education, lead full-day classes that are a combination of instruction and hands-on learning. We introduce concepts and features in a systematic way and give participants time to work with the tools on a SMART Board while experimenting with ways to integrate that feature in their classroom.
Attendees will receive a comprehensive set of notes from the course, a notebook for personal notes, a USB stick and the new book “SMART Board for Dummies”. A certificate will be given after completion of the courses.

Instructional and Hands-on training
Advanced Education is bringing our Professional Development training to you. Class sizes are limited to twenty (20) participants. With 7 SMART Boards in the classroom, this course will offer a SMART Board ratio of 3:1.

Computers will be provided and the workshop will alternate between instructional and hands-on. This unique feature lets every student experience the SMART Board first-hand, and to experiment with new techniques. Attendees are welcome to bring their own laptop to make notes if they have one. Computers are provided on a 3:1 ratio.
Please read this carefully: The SMART Intermediate Level Course is exclusively designed for teachers who have been using their SMART Board for about a year, or those who have attended a SMART Fundamentals course, and who want to learn more strategies for integrating the SMART Board into their classroom practices.
